Sports Premium
In April 2013, the Government announced new funding 'Sports Premium' of £150 million to support the development of Physical Education (P.E.) and Sport in schools. The funding is to be used to improve the quality and breadth of P.E. and Sport provision. All schools are able to decide how the proportion of funding allocated to them is to be spent to ensure improvement in quality and breadth of P.E. and Sport provision including increasing participation in P.E. and Sports so ensuring that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels of which they are capable.
In addition to curriculum P.E. delivered by class teachers, St Peter's work alongside Stockport Sports Partnership to develop and maintain physical education, sports and physical activity for all pupils.
