A very warm welcome to all of the children and families who will join us in the Reception Class from September. Although the uncertain times due to Covid-19 continue, we will do all that we can to make sure that the children feel welcome and ready to join our St. Peter's Family. We look forward to meeting you all soon.
Parents should be aware that arrangements for the Reception Class, September 2021 will not be identical to those shared through the above power points. You will receive information separately. Thank you for your support.
Transition Activities for the Summer Holidays

Mrs Dickinson and I are very much looking forward to welcoming your child into the St. Peter's Reception Class in September. So that we will all have something in common at the start of the new year, we would love you to take part in a Musical Transitions project, organised by Stockport Music Service! All the children will learn the same song, “Choose an Instrument You Can Play” over the holidays, and then at the start of the new term, we can all sing it together and talk about our experiences! The song has been recorded in a video which can be found on the Stockport Music Service YouTube Channel, and there is a link to this in the accompanying resource sheet which they have put together (see above). This gives some listening, warm-up and creative ideas for you to try out at home with your child. As in the Creative Corner section, I would love you to make a list of things you can find around the house to tap, jingle, shake and scrape, so that we can talk about this in class when we all meet together.
Meanwhile, have a lovely summer, and we look forward to meeting your child in September. Regards
