Each year we recognise St. George's Day in school by wearing red and white and learning about St. George, the patron saint of England.
As well as our work across the year, St. George's Day provides opportunity for learning about British Values. Some examples of work are shown below.
St George’s Day 2021
Year 6 enjoyed their St. George’s Day disco. They have been learning more about the real St. George as well as the mythical story of George and the dragon.
Year 3 Really enjoyed their disco. We learnt about the story of St George and made our own dragons.
Year 2 loved their St. George’s Day disco! They also learned about British Values as well as the story of St. George and the dragon.
Reception children really enjoyed their Friday afternoon disco with their own choice of dance songs, glow sticks, drinks and sweet treat. Thank you PTA. We learnt about the story of St George, made our own shield bunting, acted out the story and decorated biscuits in the same colour's as the England flag.
