The Ascension of the Lord
The Feast of the Ascension is celebrated forty days after Easter Sunday (therefore always on a Thursday) and recalls our Lord’s exaltation by being taken gloriously up into heaven.
After Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection, Scripture tells us,
He was seen for forty days before He ascended into heaven to be
“seated at the right hand of God the Father.”
After Jesus’ ascension, the disciples awaited the promised Spirit in Jerusalem.
Home learning Websites and resources
The following PDF outlines the websites, resources and other general activities that you can complete during the period of school closure.
All websites are completely free to use, some are part of a school subscription for which, the children have an individual login. Some will require an adult to register, some will not. The list is quite long, but we are not suggesting that you use them all. You will probably find a few that work for you and your children. If that is the case, then stick to them.
Staff have uploaded year group specific work on the class pages. Please look at these for work set for your child's class.
The most important thing to do during this time is to stay safe and keep your spirits high. We have already seen many wonderful acts of kindness and I am sure that within the parish community this will continue to take place.
