At St. Peter's Catholic Primary School, we want every child to be enthusiastic learners of French and to be eager to achieve their very best in order to fulfil their God-given talents. We firmly believe that the recipe for success is high quality first teaching in French, which is important as it provides the children with the best start to their language learning journey. Our school offers French from Year 3 to Year 6 but also children from Early Years have experience in the language.
We are committed to providing a rich and engaging French language curriculum that aligns with the National Curriculum. We aim to cultivate a passion for languages, fostering curiosity and appreciation for French culture while developing essential communication skills. Through a variety of interactive and immersive activities, we aim to equip our pupils with the confidence to speak, listen, read and write in French, promoting both linguistic competence and intercultural understanding.
