Week beginning 24th March 2025

This week the PTA very kindly organised for ACE Gymnastics to come in

and deliver a fun gymnastics lesson.

Week beginning 17th March 2025

This week we have begun to learn about Spring and minibeasts. 

Week beginning 10th March 2025

This week we have been writing about Book Character day,

learning all about number bonds to 10 and talking about kindness.

Week beginning 7th March 2025

This week we have been extremely busy -

making pancakes, Ash Wednesday service, writing our Lenten promises,

Book Character day and attending our first Good Work assembly.

Week beginning 24th February 2025

This week we have been spent time telling everyone about our holidays

and making / doing lots of things.

Week beginning 10th February 2025

This week we have been designing and building a den to hide away

from the crocodile linked to our English story.

Week beginning 3rd February 2025

This week we have been learning all about the Chinese New year.

On Friday the children were great joining in with their Chinese banquet.

They enjoyed tasting new foods such as noodles, cabbage, prawn crackers and

trying to use chopsticks! 

Thank you to Mr White who cooked the food and

brought the children a Chinese cookie and Chinese money for them to take home.

Week beginning 27th January 2025

The children this week have been practicing making different amounts from 6 to 10.

We have completed our winter pictures.

The children have worked very hard to produce their final picture.

In our shop we have been writing shopping lists and paying for our daily shop.

On Wednesday we participated in a lively, exciting Mad Science assembly.

Week beginning 20th January 2025

The children this week have been participating in a transport survey.

In the ICT suite we have been completing a program called ‘2Go’.

The children have had to give the computer instructions

to make a line move – up, down, left and right.

Week beginning 13th January 2025

The children this week have continued to participate in activities linked to winter.

We have been learning to do some yoga moves.

 

Week beginning 6th January 2025

The children this week have enjoyed having lots of fun in the snow!

The children wrote their names, numbers and draw pictures in the snow.

There were some fantastic attempts at making a snowman and castles.

Great fun was had by all!

Week beginning 16th December 2024

The children have had a wonderful creative end of term making cards, stars, angles etc.

On Monday we joined the rest of the school to celebrate the 'Gift Mass'. Thank you for all your kind gifts, the Caritas representative went away with a car full of presents.
Wednesday was party day was lots of fun with dancing, games, food and being with

our Special friends in the afternoon. 

We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, filled with hope, peace, joy and love

Infant Christmas Play 

Well done to all the Infant children who delighted us this week with their performances of

“Hooray in a Manger' starring Godfrey Humps, they are superstars!. 

They told the story of Jesus' birth with beautiful speaking and singing voices.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the children with costumes,

learning lines and songs over the last few weeks.

Week beginning 2nd December 2024

This week we have begun to prepare for Christmas.

We have enjoyed participating in OPEN for Advent, writing our Advent promises

and learning about the Advent Wreath.

Throughout the week we also have been practicing our Christmas play ready for next week.

 

Monday 25th November 

Well done to our fantastic Reception class for their wonderful Liturgy all about God’s World.

A big thank you to Father Peter and of course to all the visitors who joined us!

Week beginning 18th November 2024

This week we have been using the Numicon to make a rocket.

We have used play dough to make stars linked to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

In RE we have been learning about Angel Gabriel visiting Mary with some good news.

Week beginning 11th November 2024

This week we have been doing some Active Maths linked to 'more than'.

We have completed our firework pictures.

We have used 3D shapes to print with to develop our knowledge of their properties.

On Tuesday it was Odd Sock day .

We have talked about how unique and special we all are

and that we should RESPECT everyone.

Week beginning 4th November 2024

This week we have been building houses linked to our class story 'The 3 Little Pigs'.

We went to visit our school library and listened to the story 'Super Duper You' by Sophy Henn.

Then we had an opportunity to explore the library and find books that we have not seen before.

We also made 2D shape rockets linked to Bonfire night.

 

Week beginning 28th October 2024

This week in PE we have gone over, under and around the cones, hoops, ropes, benches and stools.

Week beginning 14th October 2024

This week we have been listened to the story “Leaf Man” by Lois Ehlert and

then worked together to use the Autumn items found last week to create a leaf animal.

Week beginning 7th October September 2024

This week we have been been learning all about our ICT suite and the parts of a computer.

We have learnt to play an ‘Underwater Counting’ game.

We have been on a walk around our school grounds looking for signs of Autumn.

Week beginning 30th September 2024

This week we have been looking at our faces and

using the play dough to create our e.g. nose etc.

We had a lovely Special Friends assembly on Friday. 

Thank you to everyone who was able to come and celebrate this lovely assembly.

Week beginning 23rd September 2024

In our RE we have begun to learn about ourselves. 

We have been making beds linked to our class story 'Peace at Last'.

We have been helping others to look after God's World e.g. brushing up the leaves.

Week beginning 16th September 2024

In our RE we have begun to learn about God’s World. We have painted our favourite animal.

We have had our first go on the bikes and scooters.

On Friday we spent time getting to know the Y6 children.
