Curriculum E-safety

E-safety is a topic that is discussed in every lesson involving the internet or digital technology. There are also specific topics on E-safety for each class. The link below will take you to our Computing curriculum page. Every year we get together as a whole school to mark safer internet day.

The National College have created #WakeupWednesday where they produce a weekly guide to raise awareness and help parents keep updated by focusing on one online topic every Wednesday.  Visit the website https://nationalcollege.com/guides and create an account to have them emailed to you. Some guides are listed below.

  • National Online Safety - NGL guide You may have heard about a new social media 'bolt on' app called Not Gonna Lie (NGL). Click on the link below for a free guide for parents.
  • National Online Safety Free online safety guides to support parents and children with particular aspects of online safety, particular games or websites, social media and current trends. These guides are free to access and the site is updated weekly.
  • Parental Controls Step by step parental control guides to ensure the right control and privacy settings are in place on devices at home.
  • Think You Know Advice to help your child make the most of the internet.
