Our School

Wellbeing

At St Peter's Catholic Primary School, the wellbeing of our pupils and staff is high priority!  In fact, one of our 'Ten Bees' is for us to... Bee Happy...!

We have a recently formed group of governors and staff who form our 'Wellbeing Committee'.  Together we

work to constantly review the wellbeing of all and implement various strategies and changes to the curriculum to support this focus!

Our Wellbeing Lead is: Mr D Reynolds - SENDCO
Mr Reynolds is currently undertaking the DfE Senior Mental Health Lead training.

Our Wellbeing Link Governor is: Mrs J McGahan.

Parents wishing to contact Mr Reynolds or Mrs McGahan in relation to wellbeing should do so via email to: admin@st-peters.stockport.sch.uk

Healthy lunch boxes

Have a look at the information below on how to create a 'Lunch of Legends' healthy lunch box. Hopefully this will give you some new ideas for a healthy lunch. The 'Lunch of legends' is an initiative created by simplyveg.org.uk and the Kung Fu Panda series. There is also a link to the site (Love your lunchbox) where further information can be found.

Children's Mental Health Awareness

The PDf below contains information from Stockport about how parents and families can get involved in Children's Mental Health Awareness week.

Talking Mental Health

Talking Mental Health is an animation designed to help begin conversations about mental health in the classroom and beyond. This video was produced by Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families. It is a nice way to begin conversations with your children about their Mental Health. It is suitable for all ages.

We All Have Mental Health

Another video produced by Anna Freud Centre for Children and Families. This video is aimed at Year 6 and above and uses two examples to explain the importance of looking after mental health as well as physical health.

What do the children think?

Each class was asked to decide upon five words that come to mind when they think about wellbeing. Theses are shown in the word cloud below.
