2025 - 2026
This week Year 3 have started their new Art topic: Plant Art. They explored a range of different artists who used oil paint as their medium to paint flowers. They then thought about what they liked/ disliked about the artwork and discussed how paintings can often evoke certain feelings.
This week Year 3 finished their Computing Unit and created infographics explaining what Advent is. See below for some pictures.
This week, Year 3 enjoyed walking to the Baptist Church to experience the Christmas Story Trail.
This week, Year 3 started their new Computing units. For their first lessons they explored the program Scratch, they used code blocks to program Sprites to interact with each other.
This week the children all contributed to our Y3 tree of kindness to celebrate World Kindness Day. They also enjoyed wearing something blue to remember to Be Loving and Understanding to Everyone. Below are some pictures of our gymnastics lesson.
A brilliant first week back Year 3! This week, the children enjoyed starting their new book 'Winter's Child' and created informative posters about how to keep safe around fireworks. Below are some pictures from today's Wellbeing lesson.
This week, Year 3 finally finished their mini greenhouses. They have worked so hard over the past couple of weeks, showing great care and teamwork when helping their classmates and resilience even when constructing has sometimes been tricky.

This week Year 3 led the first class Celebration of the Word of the school year. They reflected on their learning in class about being created in God's image and then celebrated the different ways they can 'let their light shine'. They all showed great faithfulness throughout. Well done Year 3!

This week Year 3 used charcoal to create their own versions of Stone Age cave paintings.
A first full week back in school - well done Year 3! We started the week with a celebration of the school's 60th birthday. Year 3 enjoyed learning dance moves from the 60's and creating their own dance routines.
